He is currently employed at Box Hill, Maroondah, and the Royal Children’s Hospitals, where he is involved in both elective and trauma Orthopaedics. His practice is general, however Nathan has a particular interest in surgery of the knee across all ages.
Nathan grew up in Melbourne, and completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, graduating with honours and the prize for Anatomy in 1999. He then worked as a physio in private practice, and with both amateur and elite sports clubs, before returning to study medicine at the University of Melbourne. Graduating with honours and a prize in Orthopaedics in 2006, Nathan worked as a junior doctor, primarily at Austin Health, before being accepted to the Victorian Orthopaedic Training Program.
Nathan maintains an interest in teaching and research. He has previously taught at the School of Physiotherapy, and Trinity College, both at the University of Melbourne. He is currently an instructor at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, on the Early Management of Severe Trauma course.
